Kent Jobe is a native of Early, Texas and a 1996 graduate of Harding University. He received his master’s degree in Ministry from Southern Christian University in Montgomery, Alabama and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Harding School of Theology in Memphis.

He taught at Mobile Christian School and was on staff at the University Blvd. church of Christ in Mobile, Alabama from 1997-2001. He served alongside the community of believers at the College Avenue church of Christ in El Dorado, Arkansas from 2001-2021 and began as the lead minister for Downtown in May of 2022.

Kent and his wife Cara (formerly Cara Wilson from Pocahontas) have three children: Derek who is a senior at Harding University, Austin will be a freshman at Crowder College this fall, and Brylee will be a freshman at Searcy High this fall.

Kent enjoys watching his kids do the things they love. He and Cara are usually in the bleachers enjoying whatever sport is in season.
