- Shepherd Affirmation/Reaffirmation - The process will begin August 22 and will end with a special congregational fellowship October 31. The Shepherd Selection committee encourages all members to begin searching, visiting and encouraging those men that exemplify qualities of a shepherd.
- Leadership Training for Christ meeting - Calling all 3rd through 12th graders! Come to our informational meeting in Room 203 at the top of the stairs Sunday, August 22nd at 3:00 p.m. You can see pictures and awards from past Downtown LTC teams on our LTC page. Have you always wanted to know more about the Book of Revelation? Well join over 10,000 students across the country as we prepare for LTC events like Bible Bowl, Bible Quiz, Art, Photography, Video, Drama , Sign Language, Music, Volunteer Service and more using the Book of Revelation and the theme of “We Who Overcome”. Some events will have weekly practices (time TBA) and some you just do on your own. We will be travelling to Dallas, TX or Rogers, Arkansas on Easter weekend to join hundreds of other kids across the area, but many events don’t require you to be there if you are unable to go.
- Mothers of Preschoolers - Come join the Searcy chapter of MOPS! MOPS is a group of mothers who meet twice a month, starting in September. We discuss topics ranging from potty training to keeping a relationship with Jesus during this stage in our lives - all while our children are being lovingly cared for by paid childcare workers. Come join us at our semester kick-off on August 19 in the FLC anytime from 9:30 to 11:00 to ask questions about the program and learn more about this exciting group. - Women's Class - This fall, ladies of all ages are invited to Harding Academy on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm in the library. We will study ‘ESTHER- It’s Tough Being a Woman’. - In your twenties, under thirty, and not currently married? Join us Sunday mornings in room 8 at 9:30 or at the Underground Coffee and Sandwich Shop every Wednesday at 6:59 pm for a time of worship and fellowship.
- Financial Peace Workshop The 13 week, Dave Ramsey series on Financial Peace will be starting up again starting August 29 at 6 pm. This first meeting will take place at 210 E.
