  1. Financial Peace University (FPU) Class - Tired of living paycheck to paycheck? Too much month left at the end of the money? During the 13 weeks of the class, you will learn about how to save money, live on a budget, communicate about money with your spouse, eliminate debt, and experience the joy of giving. The principles are taught via video by nationally known financial counselor, Dave Ramsey. The second hour of each lesson is a facilitated group discussion that molds those principles into the life-fabric of the individual participants.   2. Mother/Son Trip - Journey to a place where your son will have a blast digging for crystals! All moms and sons are invited to travel to the crystal mines near Mt. Ida on Sat., May 17. The church bus will leave at 8 a.m. and plan to return around 4 p.m. Cost will be $7 per person. Additional information and a “What to Bring” list is available in the half-wall area. Please sign-up ASAP if you plan to participate.
  3. Singles Get-together - There will be a Singles Get-Together, Sun. May 18 following the second service in the old fellowship room downstairs. We have a potluck planned with games, fellowship and a SHORT planning session on the menu. If you have any questions please call Shannon Severe at 281-0353.
  4. Shepherd Affirmation/Reaffirmation - Every three years the Downtown church family conducts a shepherd affirmation/reaffirmation process to select new shepherds and reaffirm current shepherds that desire to continue serving. The congregation is encouraged to spend time in prayer during this process asking God to be with those men being called out to serve our church family.
  5. "Where does the money go?" - We will be providing information about different ministries that are being funded with your contributions.
  6. High School Senior Appreciation - We’re so excited about honoring our seniors at Senior Appreciation May 11. Everyone is invited to come join in our celebration. There will be a devotional in the auditorium at 5 p.m. with the dinner following in the FLC at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $4 per adult and $3 per child 12 and under. Seniors and their parents are free. Please plan to be a part of this exciting night.
